Integrative Care for Advanced Breast Cancer: Results from the Block Center with Keith Block, MD

In this short video, CancerChoices advisor Keith Block, MD, discusses a published study investigating the impacts of integrative care on women with advanced metastatic breast cancer receiving care at the Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment.

“We followed 90 consecutive patients with advanced metastatic breast cancer diagnosed over a 13-year period. They received from us chronomodulated chemotherapy and very aggressive—not invasive—integrative and nutritional treatment. … Our five-year survival was 27% from the Center and the comparison groups, all added up, matched up to about 17% despite a higher proportion of younger and relapsed patients.” Watch the video to hear more:
