Treatment evidence
A large RCTrandomized controlled trial, a study design in which people are randomly assigned to either an experimental group or a control group to compare the outcomes from different treatments; an RCT is considered a strong design for determining a therapy’s effects found that the Mental Health Assessment and Dynamic Referral for Oncology (MHADRO) program may increase access to mental health care, lessen hospitalizations, and improve providers’ management of psychosocial needs, but does not appear to impact overall functioning over time.1O’Hea E, Kroll-Desrosiers A et al.
